You receive SACP Training in a Variety Of Areas

  • learn how to make our community safer by acting in a proactive manner
  • operate computer tablets, radar speed boards and other equipment
  • how best to interact with the public and respect our status as RCMP volunteers
  • increase awareness of suspicious activities to be more effective while on patrols
  • become aware of current local crime trends for more effective patrols

There are 2 basic types of training

Initial training patrols

1. Initial Training Patrols
New members are issued an exclusive SACP Yellow Binder training manual used in conjunction with at least three training patrols. Upon completion of the training syllabus, the new member is paired with an experienced member on regular patrols

Speed watch training moment

2. Monthly Meeting Training Moments
There is a short Training Moment component at each monthly meeting to review specifics such as Speed Watch and to learn new items or procedures.
